Director
Awondo Judith Lum Tamukong holds a Master Degree in Integrated Rural Development from the University of Dschang Cameroon. She holds a Diploma in Education and a teacher by profession. She is not only a Human Rights advocate since 2000 but also a Community Development Expert. She has excellent knowledge in Gender and Development, Humanitarian Work, Peace Building, Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights Education. She is Founder and CEO of Women in Action against Gender Based Violence (WACameroon).
Furthermore, she has experience in Resource Mobilization and has designed and led the implementation of many projects within and without the organization. She is a team builder and easy to build collaboration.
Communication Officer
Fombong Comfort is a holder of a Maîtrise (Masters I) in Performing Arts from Yaoundé University I of Cameroon. She loves and does Theatre, Cinema and Civil Society Activism.
Communication Officer for WACameroon, she is also a Human Rights and Women Rights promoter, 18 years of working experience with different objective-oriented NGOs. During these years she has acquired wide experience and skills in corporate Communication, Workshop/Seminarrealisation, Resource Person, Lobbying and Advocacy, Creation of sketches/documentary film as per thematic of project, etc.
In addition to theseabilities, shealso has a good organisational and listeningskills, veryfriendly, and sympathetic and likes team work.
If sheis not glued to herlaptopwriting reports of fieldactivities or stories scripts, sheis in herbackyard animal farm.
Health Officer
Ngoran Christabel is 30 year old; holder of Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry (Hons) from the University of Buea.
She is an exceptionally dependable and detail-oriented, multi-talented, proactive, flexible, multitask and patient person who can work in any pressure filled condition. Sheis motivated by the problems faced by vulnerable people in the society; children, adolescents, women, people with disabilities and PLWHIV because is a survivor of Gender Based Violence.
She has more than 6years of working experience in different non-governmental Organizations where she has occupied different positions and carried out different responsibilities assigned per position. She is currently working as a Health Officer with Women in Action against Gender Based violence (WACameroon) where she heads most health activities related. She is an easy going person who associates very well with employees at all levels and able to function well as a team member or independently.
Throughout her work she has gained skills in public speaking, facilitation, communication, resource mobilization, lobby and advocacy.
Finance Officer
Ndikum Victorine is a holder of BSc in Banking and Finance and a diploma in accountancy from Bamenda University of science and Technology (BUST) and National Polytechnic Bamenda respectively.
She is the Finance Officer for WACameroon, 12 months of work experience at community mutual savings and Loans (CoMuSal).
She has acquired skills in Quickbooks software like Microsoft excel and has attended trainings on Basic financial Management and control for CBOs.
Also her best moment is working on her calculator and laptop.
Office worker
Alieh Gwendoline is a holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Psychology from the University of Dschang, Cameroon. She is a Counselor for WACameroon, with 3 years of work experience, where she has acquired skills in workshop realization, lobbying and advocacy, and psycho-social counseling. She is also very friendly and likes team work.
Chauffeur
Mr. Nde Polycarp is WACameroon’s Chauffeur. Before becoming a staff of WACameroon, he was a public transporter. While in the organization, he has improved his skills in farming, build capacity in counseling and has learnt public speaking and teamwork.
Since he treasures animals, he rears pigs and birds in his living environment.
Cashier/Secretariat
Ngwa Shero Fru is a holder of GCE Ordinary Level, being the longest serving staff of the organization, she has a good grasp of office management.
She combines her regular functions of Cashier with Secretarial duties.
In addition to these, she has over the years of working for WACameroon acquired experience in nurturing and counseling deviant adolescents within her reach. She is sympathetic and committed to giving spritual and social counseling to teenage mothers in her spare time.
She is passionate about waste separation at generation point and so whenever she is home, she concertrates on cleaning her surrounding to the admiration of her neigbours who in turn have picked up the good practice.
Secretarial Duties
MANKA Juliett NGOMANJI holds a Higher National Diploma in Agro- pastoral Counseling and a Diploma in Management of Cooperative Enterprise from National Cooperative Collage Bamenda (NCCB).
She started work with Women in Action against Gender Based Violence (WACameroon) in April 2018 and has excellent skills in team work, Secretarial duties, Good communication and interpersonal skills and Ability to work under pressure.
